PRESLEY, OF PRESLEYMADEIT
WHERE I STARTED…
Ever since I can remember, I have had a paintbrush in my hand. Growing up, I was always looking for a way to draw or paint on whatever was in front of me. My first business model dates back to when I was 6 years old, drawing pictures on loose-leaf paper and going door-to-door in my neighborhood to try to sell them.
In high school, I became intrigued by the idea of a corporate job and chose to attend college to pursue a career in advertising. In college, I focused heavily on athletics and took up CrossFit, marathon running, and bodybuilding over four years. I spent my days painting in the studio and working out at the gym.
I studied at Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in Advertising Management in 2024… this degree prepared me for the leap I never thought I would take. Immediately after college, I packed up and moved home to pursue my dreams of becoming an artist. My mission is to make art something that EVERYONE can be a part of. As an artist, I want to use my craft to give people confidence, to educate viewers and artists alike, and to curate unforgettable performances of live art.
WHERE I AM NOW…
My background in athletics has given me a competitive edge to the business of being an artist. Understanding the business behind a painting and how to use art as more than something that is pretty to look at is a skill that requires a lot of practice. This is why I approach every painting like a workout, I know that there will be obstacles to overcome but in the end the pain will be worthwhile.
As an artist, I specialize heavily in illustrative design elements, realistic portraiture, and bold colors. My work mainly consists of large-scale murals on both walls and streets, as well as live painting experiences for corporate or private events.
Whether you need a live painter for an unforgettable brand activation or a crosswalk mural scaling your city streets, I am your girl.
In my first year working as a professional artist, I have worked with clients like the Detroit Tigers to paint live at the Opening Day Block Party, local government officials to enhance public safety through crosswalk murals, and the Grosse Ile Yacht Club to create a memorial tribute mural visible to all sailors as they pass on the Detroit River.
PRESLEYMADEIT is larger than my art; it is about showing myself to the world. I want other young women, other creatives, to see what is possible with hard work and discipline. If you love what you do… you’ll probably work every single day of your life.
